All 5 suspected cop killers nabbed - including policeman’s son
PORT MORESBY: All five suspected cop killers - including a policxeman’s son - have been arrested by Madang police.
Two of them who have been on the run since last Friday (Dec13), surrendered to Madang police on Monday and Tuesday (Dec 16 and 17).
Madang police have, thus, solved the killing of Police Constable Franko Horaki, 27, in Madang’s Market on Friday morning.

TWO suspects at large following the killing of a policeman in Madang on Friday have surrendered to police.
One surrendered on Monday night and the other yesterday afternoon, enabling police to have all five suspects behind bars.
Madang police commander acting Supt Manzuca Rubiang said the two suspects told their community leaders that they would surrender to police and requested Rubiang to be present.
He said on Monday at around 10pm, the fourth suspect from Marawat village of Angoram district, East Sepik, surrendered to him at James Burns Compound and he was taken to the police station and locked up. The other one also surrender yesterday.
“I want to thank the community leader Stanley Gaan for his great effort in negotiating with the suspects to surrender,” Rubiang said.
“I am happy that all the suspects are now in the police custody.”
All are from Angoram, East Sepik. Police will now do their part in carrying out their investigation and lay formal charges.
Const Franko Horaki, 27, of Eastern Highlands and Chimbu, was killed on Friday at Mildas Market.
He was hit over the head with a piece of wood and then stabbed.
