The fate of 14 other SDA missionaries are also still unknown. The group of 15 missionaries was on their way to Porgera’s Paiela in Enga on March 2, 2020, when they ran into the gunmen. Lawyer Lomai charged with four counts of preventing cops from interviewing Madang governor Peter Yama PORT MORESBY:  Madang governor Peter Yama’s lawyer, Benson Lomai, was released on K1,500 court bail on Monday (March 9, 2020). Lomai appeared before Waigani committal court magistrate Tracy Ganaii facing four counts of perverting the course of justice for allegedly preventing police from interviewing his client (Yama). Lomai, 54, is scheduled to return to court on April 10. Currently, it is about US$98 (K325.80) per Mbps per month. The whopping drop in wholesale internet charges was revealed by Kumul Telikom Holdings Ltd deputy chairman Reuben Kautu who said the retail price for internet access to consumers would drop significantly upon the completion and full commissioning of the Kumul Submarine Cable Network (KSCN) (this year). MP Douglas Tomuriesa, wife charged again PORT MORESBY:  Kiriwina-Goodenough Member of Parliament (MP) Douglas Tomuriesa and wife were back in court on Thursday (March 5, 2020) to face fraud-related charges that were struck out last year because police had not completed investigations. Douglas, 51, a former Forest Minister, is facing one count each of false pretence, misappropriation and money laundering. His wife, Rachel, 52, is defending against one count of misappropriation and one for money laundering.
