Man slashes to death his one-year-old daughter

PORT MORESBY: Police have arrested aa man who allegedly slashed to death his one-year-old daughter during an argument with his wife recently, East Sepik commander Supt Albert Beli says.

“The murder of Enelyn Kako happened at about 3am in their home in Kanduanum village,” he added.

POLICE have arrested a man who allegedly slashed to death his one-year-old daughter during an argument with his wife recently, East Sepik police commander Supt Albert Beli says.
“The murder of Enelyn Kako happened at about 3am in their home in Kanduanum village,” he said.
“The mother lodged a report with the police and the father has fled.”
Supt Beli urged the communities to help with information on the whereabouts of the murder suspect. “Many killings are being reported in East Sepik caused by family members,” he said.
“A boy, from Soli, East Yangoru, was murdered by his relatives a week ago.
“Most of the killings are alcohol-related.
“Ward leaders in the province should report all illegal activities in their areas.”
Supt Beli said pre-festive season police crime-prevention operations would commence this week and end in the first week of next month.
He called on the people to celebrate responsively.
