Pangu 38, PNC 16 and URP 11

PORT MORESBY: Papua New Guinea (PNG)’s General Election 2022 (GE22) has concluded with Pangu Pati wining the highest number of seats (38) with the People’s National Congress (PNC) at runner-up.

Coming in third is the United Resources Party (11) and National Alliance (six) in fourth.


Five seats – Chimbu Provincial, Southern Highlands Provincial, Lagaip (Enga), National Capital District Provincial and Madang Provincial – have yet to be declared after the EC had extended the deadline for the return of writs four times, from July 22 to July 29, Aug 5, Aug 12 and Aug 19, 2022.
