Pangu continues to lead with 22 seats, PNC trails with 10

PORT MORESBY: The ruling Pagu Pati is still leading with 22 seats in Papua New Guinea General Election 2022 (GE22) race for control of the 118-seat 11th Parliament.

With 59 confirmed winners (as compiled by The National), the People’s National Congress (PNC) is trailing Pangu with only 10 seats.

National Alliance has secured five seats, followed by United Resources Part with four, and People’s Party, Social Democratic Party, People’s First Party and PNG Party picking up two seats each.

To date, four Independents have booked their place in the 11th Parliament.
