“My eldest son was a good man who wanted to do right for his wife and his seven
children.
“He did not get into trouble and he wanted to look after all of us.
“I want justice for what has happened.
“We want the person who did this to be caught, charged and dealt with (by the
law).
“He never did anything to hurt anyone.
“It was tough raising boys but they did everything for me.”
Grieving widow Betty said her husband wanted the best for the family.
“We struggled but he did everything he could to ensure we had food on the
table.
“He was always supportive of people and he never had any ill intentions toward
anyone. Robert was kind and very loving to us,” Betty said.
“The weeks prior to his death, he told us that he loved all of us very much.”
