Justice David Cannings in Waigani yesterday directed the Public Solicitor and Public Prosecutor’s offices when he noted that the pre-sentence report for Richard Namaliu, other written submissions on the sentence and warrant of commitment in the National Court were not included. News that matter in Papua New Guinea 29 escape from two prisons in five days PORT MORESBY:  Twenty-nine remandees and prisoners have escaped from two prisons in Papua New Guinea in the past five days. Twenty-two inmates broke out of Madang’s Beon Prison yesterday (Nov 28, 2022) morning and seven others escaped from Kainantue’s Bundaira Prison in Eastern Highlands on Thursday (Nov 24, 2022). Correctional Services Commissioner Stephen Pokanis said the Beon inmates broke out between 2am and 4am. In Bundaira, Pokanis said more than 30 inmates were taken out on Thursday morning for routine work parade and were supervised by only one prison warden when nine of them dashed for freedom.
