PORT MORESBY: Three men were killed and two others injured in separate killings in Madang on Saturday (Nov 26, 2022), Commander Acting Supt Mazuc Rubiang says.

“The killings occurred in Danip’s Segalau village along the North Coast Road,” he added.

THREE men died and two were injured in Madang in separate incidents on Saturday, says provincial police commander acting Superintendent Mazuc Rubiang.
He said the killings happened at Sagalau village, Danip along the North Coast Road on Saturday.
Rubiang said a man who was drunk chased his wife and in-laws out of the house.
The man who later went to look for his wife was attacked. He died on the way to hospital.
In a separate incident, a man from Kananam village working as a security guard for a company was killed in a fight at Danip on Saturday.
Two other men were injured in the same incident.
“The situation at Danip is very tense.

“Police officers are at the scene,” Rubiang said.
“I organised police officers to talk with the people of Kananam to find ways to solve the problem because one man had died and I don’t want another death to happen.
“Police are now trying to bring peace to the two communities.”
In another incident, Rubiang said a man was killed at Newtown on Saturday.
