in Waigani yesterday to having dangerous drugs.

Malaysia’s Pulai in Johor, Tan Kheng Soon, 29, from Kuala Lumpur, Daniel Andi,
32, from Apia village in Mendi Southern Highlands and Niaka Viri from Korobosea

Only Aunfong pleaded guilty to the charge while the others claimed trial.
It was alleged that at about 4pm, Andi and Viri took same packages to the PNG
Air Freight Limited in 7-Mile in Port Moresby to be cleared as documents.
At 7- Mile, taxi driver Andi allegedly took the package into the office to do
clearance while Viri waited in the taxi.
PNG Air Freight Ltd scanned the package which was said to be documents and the
scanner identified it as irregular substance.
A staff then called the police at 4.30pm and reported the suspicious person
being in possession of some suspicious substance.
Police arrived and arrested Andi who then lead them to Viri who was waiting
outside.
Police then discovered 170g of methamphetamine in sealed small packages, packed
as documents.
Upon questioning, Viri said the package (document) was filed (packed) by Leong
and she was only to get it cleared as documents.
Police then went to Leong’s apartment on the same afternoon and Leong admitted
to having the meth and cannabis in his apartment.
He then directed the police to where the three bags of meth and cannabis were.
Police upon searching Leong’s apartment, found Tan upstairs and arrested him.
