Cop nabbed for impregnating stepdaughter

PORT MORESBY: A senior police officer in the Central command is in custody after allegedly impregnating his stepdaughter.

Central commander Superintendent John Midi the police station commander was now held in a lockup while waiting for a formal interview to be conducted.

He said the Grade 7 schoolgirl had stopped going to school in October.

A SENIOR police officer in the Central command is in custody after impregnating his stepdaughter.
Central commander Superintendent (Supt) John Midi told The National that the officer was identified as a police station commander in Central.
According to Supt Midi, the man was locked up while awaiting a formal interview to be conducted.
Supt Midi said further information would be released by Tuesday.
According to police information, the step-daughter who is in grade seven stopped going to school in October.
Her mother didn’t think much about it and so did not question her.
However, when school resumed this year, her daughter refused to go to school and when pressed the young girl said that she was pregnant.
When the mother asked who the father was, she claimed that it was the step-father.
The mother took her daughter and went to her relatives, they all went to the police station and made a complaint.
The information caught the eye of NCD/Central Commander Assistant Police Commissioner Anthony Wagambie and Midi.
Police investigations continue.
